    Cinnamon Raisin Bread

    January 11, 2010 | 6 Comments

On the heels of my last bread recipe, I was itching to try something different, (seeing as I conquered my apprehension of working with yeast and dough), I decided to make Cinnamon Raisin bread, which is my mom’s favorite bread.

This took much longer than the first bread recipe, not exactly sure why, but I felt like I spent the whole day baking! Simple, simple recipe and if you’re up for it, you’ll love it! For directions & more, keep reading!

    Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding

    December 30, 2009 | 4 Comments

The last time I made bread pudding on the blog, I said I’d remake it using more ingredients and I finally did! This time, I added more cinnamon and obviously, raisins. I followed the same recipe as the first time, so no surprises there.

Plus, the last bread pudding recipe wasn’t as comprehensive as this one (not enough pictures etc) so this go-round, you get to see the entire thing (well, most of it anyway!). For directions & more, keep reading!

    Basic Homemade Bread

In the spirit of trying to challenge myself when it comes to baking with dough, I decided to make bread! The thought to do so always came to mind, but being that I’m more of a meat and potatoes type lady, I never really did much by way of baking with flour.

When my blog turned a year old, I knew I’d have to up the ante and start challenging myself and what better way to do that than by doing the one thing I dreaded most! For directions & more, keep reading!

Got extra bread laying around the house that’s going stale and you’re not quite ready to throw away because you got it at that 2 for $4 sale??? Don’t throw it away, make bread pudding!

Bread pudding used to be called the poor man’s dessert, because in the times before ours, it called for making use of stale bread to which sugar, spices and other ingredients were added. Forward to our time and the art of making bread pudding has become more sophisticated, calling for more additions than just sugar and spices. It now calls for milk, eggs, raisins and a host of other ingredients. For directions & more, keep reading!
