    Nigerian Fish Soup (Obe Eja)

    June 9, 2009 | 16 Comments

Anyways, I can’t believe in the months following the existence of this blog, I’m now just cooking fish. I can’t even say how many times I told myself that I was going to go get some fish to cook. As you can tell, it never did happen till now.

I have nothing against fish, I didn’t like it before, because I just thought it was one of those bland dishes that didn’t take too well to seasoning. Well, I was proved wrong by trial and error in the kitchen. For directions & more, keep reading!

    Egusi Stew/Soup

    February 15, 2009 | 27 Comments

Egusi is simply ground melon seeds. It’s an off-white color and is normally cooked in soup or stew. This is the one soup/stew dish that I make on a regular. There are other ways to cook this dish, but when I’m feeling lazy or pressed for time, I just do it all in one pot…some other time, I’ll revisit this and cook it a different way. For directions & more, keep reading!

    Uber-Spicy Chicken Stew

    February 1, 2009 | 16 Comments

I decided to cook some chicken this time around instead of meat like I’ve been doing the past few weeks. Time for a change. I made the stew pretty spicy, you can reduce the amount of scotch bonnet peppers if you’re not into heat or don’t like it too hot. For directions & more, keep reading!
