I&#039;m glad it turned out nice! Always good to get positive feedback! Wait o, there is a separate seasoning just for jollof in the UK? Interesting! I would have said basmati rice wouldn&#039;t be the best option, but if it worked for you, that&#039;s good then.

I tried the method of cooking jollof rice and it turned out pretty nice. The stock I had from boiling the meat, I added the jollof seasoning that you can purchase in the UK and added my tomato stew, then added the par boiled rice. The rice that I used was Asli Golden Sella Basmati Rice which is expensive but it turned out great. 

I did however still put the rice in the oven to remove the excess water.

Now I used my taster (my 7 year old son) he said the rice was lovely. I know if it was rubbish he will refuse to eat it and the expression on his face with tell me another story. I let the rice cool for a while and still tasted it and it was lovely.</description>
