Preparing Cupcake Batter

Once you’ve gathered all the ingredients for making your cupcake, the next logical step would be to make the batter. Here’s the kicker with baking, you have to use precise measurements, otherwise, your entire cupcake will be off once done. You won’t be able to detect such errors in the batter form, until the cake starts baking or is done baking.

Cupcake ingredients can be divided into wet and dry ingredients and both should be measured differently to attain the most precise measurements.
- For wet or liquid ingredients, you will need to measure them with a clear, standard measuring cup that has a pouring spout or mouth
- For dry ingredients, you will need to measure them with standard measuring cups, fill up the measuring cup and then use a spatula or a knife to level off the top.
