Cupcake Month Flavor Requests- Get Them in Now!

I just had an epiphany! Literally. If you didn’t already know, August will be cupcake month on the site- everything you need to know about making and decorating cupcakes. In addition to that, my epiphany was to create cupcakes based on readers’ likes.
Basically, what that means is that you get to submit 2 or 3 of your favorite cake flavors/ingredients and I’ll create a cupcake based on that and it’ll be named after you! For instance, two ingredients I’d like in a cupcake would revolve around coconut and possibly strawberries, I’d then create a cupcake based around those two ingredients and the ingredients could either be in the cupcake and/or in the frosting. The cupcake would then be called ‘The Yetunde’ or some other fun nickname based derivative.
If I get more flavor requests than I can make, those that don’t make it into cupcake month will be featured periodically throughout the rest of the year, still with names of course ;)
All you need do is leave a comment letting me know the 2 or 3 flavors/ingredients you’d like in a cupcake. (Don’t get too wild now with the flavor combos!) #thassit

I OFFICIALLY LOVE THIS ENTRY
Surprisingly if the previous post hadn’t come out I would have actually requested for one featuring carrots, bananas and possibly some nuts (carrot cakes ARE divine)…So I’m having to come up with a second best.
What do I like *he thinks*.
How about something savoury highlighting a vegetable – I’ve always loved a bit of cucumbers and zucchini but not sure how they would work being incorporated into cakes.
Wait….I’ve just had a thought – scratch the previous savoury thought (just for a moment), how about some citrus (preferably lemon), a berry (either raspberry or blueberry) and some nuts (I love cashews but they are never really used in baking) ;). So yeah, that’s my combination [citrus+berry+crunch/texture] – nothing too crazy *wink*.
Oh and not necessarily just nuts – in their place, dried fruits or seeds could be substituted as well – a bit of texture is all Ayodeji desires LOL.
I’m actually looking forward to the resulting cupcake and more importantly what choices you make.
I hate (loathe/detest doesn’t do it much justice) frostings so couldn’t care less if they featured on the cupcake or not (in no way attempting to be a diva/divo) but they always make the cakes prettier. Oh and do we get a sample batch mailed to us (or would that just be a dream)?
Enjoy the rest of the weekend; great idea by the way.
Ayodeji. O
Lol, I love the ideas, you’ll have to wait and see how they’re combined! I like the sample batch idea, not sure how it’ll work out, but I might spin that idea into something else ;)
Thanks, enjoy what’s left of your weekend!
Thats such a wonderful idea!
Hey Dobby!
Isn’t it?! Genius, if I dare say so myself, lol ;)
Here’s to having epiphanies that lead to cupcake recipe requests *glasses clinking … empty glasses, that is*
So, my request is a cupcake recipe that includes the following three ingredients:
1. Agbalumo
2. Ube; and
3. Garden egg
LOL! Just kidding. I meant these three instead: strawberries, real pieces of milk chocolate (Godiva, maybe *hint, hint*) and dessicated coconut. Goodness! My mouth is already watering. I am looking forward to “The Relentless” thank you very much!
Lol, omuti!
I was wide-eyed there for a minute at Agbalumo, lol, was about to say ‘oh no, not gon be able to do it!’ In retrospect though, you could scrape out the innards of the Agbalumo and hollow it out, add a cupcake liner in there and bake the batter in that. An Ube puree for the frosting perhaps? Can’t think of anything with Garden Egg, never liked it. I won’t be trying that, but you’re welcome to, lol
Now, that is one sexy combo, trying to seduce someone there huh?! ;) I have no idea why you’d think it would be called ‘The Relentless,’ how about ‘The Funmi’ enh? LOL :D
Love the idea
My flavours are:
- Coconut and chocolate
- Coffee and Vanilla
- Almond and Orange
