    Chef Afrik Interviews AvartsyCooking!

What better way to start off the New Year, than with an interview by Adhis of Chef Afrik! I was glad to give the interview as I know I’m pretty private when it comes to sharing my personal life, but I figured even though I wouldn’t be talking about all that :), it would still give you the opportunity to know me a bit better.

Chef Afrik is a website run by a Kenyan lady, Adhis. She claims to be a foodie trying to become an African foodie by cooking her way through the African continent.

I hope you enjoy reading the interview as much as I enjoyed giving it. Do you see all the accolades she heaped on me in the intro? Babyyyy, when I say I’m flattered, I truly am.

Head over to Chef Afrik to read and let me know your thoughts!

    (Thanks Adhis for the opportunity.)

    1. Congratulations on the interview! I hope you get interviewed more often this year. I feel like I got to know you a bit more, beyond the pictures and recipes on the blog, so that was a plus. I had no idea you were so young, either (a year older than me). You mentioned that most meals are cooked by boiling and frying. I think the frying aspect cannot really be avoided due to the erratic electricity supply (NEPA palaver). You really inspired me o! Kudos!

P.S. I do the same thing after my post goes live … Ah! The joy! *wink*

Thank you and amen to that! So young? I turned 28 on Jan. 11, 2 years to 30, not that young now is it, lol. Good point you raised there, that didn’t even occur to me!

Aww, thanks, that’s humbling to know. Lol, I know, it’s almost like a release, especially for the longer posts!

Congrats on the interview. I love your recipes! they are so easy to follow. I’ve told all my Nigerian non cooking friends about the site. I’m going to make the turkey stew and beans tonight. Keep up the good work.
