Another Way of Cooking Simple White Rice

>> Friday, October 30, 2009

So much for a break huh? Just another tip I thought I'd share with you for cooking white rice.

Instead of just cooking it with water and salt, try adding 1 or 2 knorr cubes, ground pepper and 2 or 3 tablespoons of Canola oil. All this of course depending on the amount of rice you're cooking AND the amount of seasoning (salt, knorr, maggi etc) in your soup/stew.

So, basically:

2 cups white rice
4 cups water
1 or 2 knorr cubes
3 tbsps Canola oil
3 tbsps ground red pepper powder

Follow above steps and voila! It really jazzes up the rice, hope you try and like!

(Pics will follow at some point)

Enjoy...
