Geisha Stew

This recipe is my older sister's specialty. She makes this better than any of us, then again it's a pretty easy recipe but she does it like no other.
Ingredients:
(Feeds 1-2)
1 can mackarel in tomato sauce (from your local African grocer)
1/2 a red onion (sliced)
1/2 a clove of garlic (diced)
2 tbps of oil
Saute onions in pan until opaque/ transparent
Add contents from the can
Stir on medium heat
Add 1/2 tsp dried red pepper
Stir for another minute
Voila!
This can eaten with most starches e.g bread, yam, potato, rice. I mainly make this only in the morning but I'm sure you can eat it anytime of day.
